Where are we headed?
Destination: Sayulita, Mexico which is located 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, a city on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
So this is international?
Yes, this is Mexico, not New Mexico, so anyone older than the age of 0 will NEED A PASSPORT to cross country borders. Your mission is as follows: If you already have a passport, check right now to make sure that it is valid thru April, 2015. If you don’t have a passport, initiate the process RIGHT NOW! Use the following link to get started:

When should we come and go?
We will be there from Monday, 4/6/15 thru Monday, 4/13/15. We understand that it’s difficult for our beautiful guests to take a whole week out of their lives, but everyone is welcome to come for the WHOLE week or just some of it. Bare minimum, make sure you’re there on Saturday, 4/11/15--that's the most important day.
And most importantly, how do I get there?
First, fly like an eagle!
Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) is the airport you want. Several major airlines fly into this airport, including AeroMexico, Alaska Airlines, US Airways, American, Delta, and United.
A+K Tip: Just like hotels, try to book sooner rather than later! April is high time for Mexico, so a bunch of sun deprived Americans (we're looking at you, New Yorkers) will likely be hunting for sun once the weather turns up north! Kayak.com is good source to evaluate flight options across multiple airlines and will suggest whether it's a good time to buy or perhaps wait due to price fluctuations. We suggest you set up a "price alert" on the website so you can monitor the price until you decide to book.
And then, it's a Mexican road trip!
Once you arrive in Puerto Vallarta, the hard part is over. Sayulita is 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, and depending on the mode of transportation you use, it should take you approximately 1 to 1.5 hrs to get to there.
We highly recommend using a Car Service. Not only do you get picked up by someone holding a sign with your name on it, but you get a direct ride to your lodging in an air-conditioned SUV. We've used Fernando and you can contact him at fernando.sayulita@yahoo.com. Please note that he speaks broken English but is super friendly and reliable. When contacting him, make sure to mention our names--he is expecting your email. There are other car services as well which can be found on the Sayulita website: http://www.sayulitalife.com/sayulitatransportation.htm
You can also use the public Bus Service. We have never used this option, but there is a stop at the airport and it's much cheaper than a car service at approximately $3 USD each way. The bus is called Compostela and runs every 20 mins.
A+K Tip: We know what you're thinking--can we just rent a car and get to town? Well here's the thing, Sayulita is mostly awesome but also small. You can walk the entire town in a matter of minutes, and people tend to navigate via foot or golf cart. If you're staying in or around town, you certainly don't need a rental car--in fact, navigating the small streets and finding a parking spot would drive you coco-NUTS! If we ask you to travel extended distances, we’ll set up a shuttle for that.
Did you say golf cart?
We sure did! It's best way to get around Sayulita. If interested in renting one, contact Gabe at Pacific Coast Golf Cars and mention the Koplin/Furgiuele Wedding. The town and its surrounding can be rather hilly, so making sure you have the right cart set-up is important. Gabe at Pacific Coast Golf Cars will recommend the type of cart you'll need based on where you're staying. Pacific Coast Golf Cars' contact info is included below:
