How soon should I book accommodations?

Just like flights, book sooner rather than later! April is high time for Mexico, so make sure you get a roof over your head!

Where should we stay?

So many options! You can either stay in a traditional hotel or a vacation home. We've compiled a list of our recommendations below.

A+K Tip: It really doesn't matter whether you stay in town or just outside of it--completely your call. If you stay in town, we'll be providing shuttles for any activity that is a great distance. If you stay out of town, we just suggest communicating with the hotel or house rental host to confirm whether they suggest using a golf cart to get around.

Hotels:

Listed below are just a few hotels at different price points that we've flagged as "¡Fantástico!". These are just some of the options--Sayulita excels at entertaining out of towners, so there are plenty of other hotels in town to choose from.

PLAYA ESCONDIDA

For a more fairy-tale Mexican experience, we definitely suggest you check this place out. It's about 10 minutes outside of town but serves as a great retreat with bungalows built into the rocky hillside. There's a pool, a spa, a restaurant and bar--Oh!--and we're not kidding about the picture above, it really is on the beach. This resort will cost you a medium amount of pesos but well worth it if you're looking for a more quiet, relaxing experience.

HOTEL KUPURI

This nifty little place is in the heart of town so if you want to be in the thick of it, look no further. It's a few blocks from restaurants, bars, shops and, most importantly, the beach.  We love this place because it offers clean, modern accommodations and a pool for those of you who, like Kristy, fear predatory fish in the ocean. Careful though--the city fiestas can go late into the night so this isn't for you light sleepers.  This will cost you much less pesos.  Kupuri doesn't list any prices on their website so we've gathered the information for you here: $131/night for single queen, $143/night for single king and $173/night for 2 double or full. There are only 22 rooms so get'em while they're hot like tamales!

PETITE HOTEL HAFA

Appropriately named, this boutique hotel has just 6 rooms. It's by no means flashy, but is boho-charming and located in town which means you have great access to all the restaurants, bars, and beach. There is a rooftop lounge area but no pool so any dips will be limited to the ocean. All rooms are priced under $100 USD which make this an adorably affordable option.

Vacation Homes:

If you'd like to pretend you reside in Sayulita and don't need your towels changed everyday, you're welcome to buddy up and rent a home!

If interested, reach out to Tamra Koch. We got a chance to hang with her, and she clearly knows the Sayulita house rental scene--and also speaks perfect English.  Be sure to mention our names and she'll be sure to accommodate you. Her email is rentals@move2sayulita.com. Or you can contact her at US phone: 805.275.2120 | Mexico Phone: 329.291.3162

For the Millenials, Airbnb.com is something you may be familiar with and works here as well.

But wait, where is the wedding couple staying? I want to stay there!

The lovebirds will be staying at Teitiere Estates, which is also the site of the wedding happenings. Sorry, there’s only enough room for us and our families to stay there. Don’t worry though, we’ll be around.
